•What is a computer?-It’s an electronic device that accepts data, process it according to preset instructions and produces useful information.
•Data-this is unprocessed row fact(it’s anything entered into the computer) e.g. text, graphics, photographs e.t.c.
•Information-this is an already processed data which is a row fact.
A computer is divided into three categories, I.e.

This refers to the physical parts of a computer e.g

This refers to the persons using the computer
ØComputer software
This refers to the programs that control the operation of a computer.
It is further divided into two categories.

These are suits of programs that manage the resources of the computer.
